Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement U.S. Chemical Storage Inc The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland, Oregon intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is required to support the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Amargosa Valley, Nevada. U.S. Chemical Storage Inc is the only known supplier of the following supplies: 1. Chemical storage building (28' X 8' X 9') with an 18,700 BTU refrigeration unit w/temperature control unit and R11 insulation. 2. Chemical storage building (24' X 8' X 9') with an explosion proof exterior mount ventilation system, 3 tier sump shelving, and an eye wash/deluge shower. 3. Chemical storage building (28' X 8' X 9') with a non explosion proof exterior mount ventilation system, 3 tier sump shelving, one 12,000 BTU/hr and one 23,000 BTU/hr air conditioning units w/separate temperature control devices, and R11 insulation for ceiling and walls. 4. Canopy (covers all 3 buildings and open area) and steel back wall. Due to the dimensions of these buildings, the required safety features and technical specifications (completely enclosed, decontamination area, forklift pockets, drain configuration, eye wash, showers, 12 year warranty, etc), and required accessories U.S. Chemical Storage Inc. is the only known source that can meet Agency requirements. The USFWS intends to award Sole Source to U.S. Chemical Storage Inc. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response n later than close of business on 01/11/2008.
