The U. S. Department of the Interior, National Business Center/GovWorks, on behalf of 305th MDG/SGSL, McGuire AFB, NJ, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to PickPoint Corporation, of Pleasanton, CA . Specifically, 305th MDG/SGSL has the need for FlexRx Model LxS Pharmaceutical Storage and Dispensing System for their pharmacy to ensure that all medications prescribed throughout facility are in the patient computerized profile, and the patient receives the same level of care as when the Pharmacy is open. The FlexRx unit operates off of a bar code system, which requires the prescription be entered into the patient's medication profile. The patient is then provided with a medication information handout, a label with the direction, medication name, and the provider's name on the medication container. The system also has a double check to ensure the medication ordered is the one dispensed and labels, as it will not let another medication be released until the first is confirmed. This system substantially reduces risk management issues and facilitates the requirements to prevent medication misadventures. This announcement is published as a Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes.
