J--A-76 Streamlined Competition to provide support to the centralized maintenance activity of the Remote Automated Weather Stations

In accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, dated May 29, 2003, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces an A-76 streamlined competition to provide support to the centralized maintenance activity of the Remote Automated Weather Stations at the BLM National Interagency Fire Center, Boise, ID. Currently, these services are provided by Government employees, augmented with contractor support. Approximately 40 Government full time equivalents (FTEs) are included in the study. The Bureau of Land Management has requested approval for a time extension of 45 days for the streamlined competition process in order to develop a most efficient organization. The projected end date for the competition is August 11, 2006. The competition will be conducted using documented market research in accordance with the Circular and no solicitation will be issued.
