FirstNet's Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) Board and Public Meetings

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 5.205(c), the First Responder Network Authority ("FirstNet") is issuing the following special notice. The Board of FirstNet will convene an open public meeting of the Board on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.Eastern Time, preceded by meetings of the Board committees on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.Eastern Time. As part of these meetings, FirstNet intends to discuss potential aspects of its acquisition strategy and approach regarding the building, deployment, operation, and maintenance of a single nationwide public safety broadband network. Interested parties are invited to attend or view the meetings by webcast. Additional information regarding the meetings can be found at http://www.firstnet.gov. This special notice is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as any obligation on the part of FirstNet. FirstNet does not intend to award a contract based on this special notice or otherwise pay for any costs associated with this special notice. FirstNet intends to post any necessary acquisition documents at a later date. Interested parties will be able to view and/or download any documentation pertaining to FirstNet and the acquisition process via the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) site via https://www.fbo.gov when the documents become available.
