PUBLIC NOTICE This document serves to provide public notice of the Government¿s intent to issue a sole source award to EBSCO Industries, Inc. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The Acquisition Services Directorate, Interior Business Center, intends to award on a noncompetitive basis, in accordance with FAR 6.302 to EBSCO Industries, Inc. Only one responsible source will satisfy the agency requirement. This is a notice of intent in accordance with FAR 5.101 and 5.207. DESCRIPTION: This is a public notice for a Single Source procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures via a firm fixed price contract (FFP) with EBSCO Industries, Inc. for an Online Database for the Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of Facilities and Administrative Services located at 1849 C Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The anticipated award date is November 30, 2020. EBSCO's online databases provide access to thousands of journals and reference sources in a wide variety of subject areas. EBSCO's leading online full text databases offer access to full text articles from peer-reviewed journals published by many of the world's most prestigious publishers. These databases offer a convenient way for users to search for abstracts and full text articles from a large collection of publications in one easy process. All of the EBSCOHost databases are fully searchable, with EBSCO's easy to use patron interface allowing the researcher to search through one or more of these databases at any one time. Access to these electronic journal databases from EBSCO will allow Departmental staff to gain access to current bibliographic citations and full-text journal articles from a large number of respected, peer-reviewed publishers. Digitized collections of these publications, dating back to their inceptions, is unavailable from any other online database resource.
