Z--Construction of Lewis Pond Overlook at Nulhegan Basin Division of the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge in Lewis, VT

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of Lewis Pond Overlook at the Nulhegan Basin Division of the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge in Brunswick, Vermont. The project consists of clearing and grubbing, site preparation, roadway and drainage improvements, the construction of a visitor parking lot with Government furnished gravel, construction of a ledge pack trail between the parking lot and overlook area, construction of a wood framed kiosk at the trail entrance, re-shaping and filling an existing gravel pit, top soil and seeding and the Overlook. The project site is located on refuge property approximately 20 miles northeast of Island Pond, VT in the town of Lewis, VT in northern Essex County. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the construction of a new overlook and appurtenances complete and ready for use as shown in the contract drawings and specifications. Prior to submission of the proposal, offerors are urged to inspect the project site and satisfy themselves as to all local conditions that may affect the cost and performance of the contract. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted on site at a date and time to be announced in the solicitation package. This is a small business set-aside procurement. The size standard is $6 million.
