Z--Icicle Creek Restoration Phase II Fish Ladder and Fish Barrier, Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, WA

On March 17th, 2005, a 60-day Notice of Intent to Sue was filed against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) for alleged violations of the Endangered Species Act involving proposed construction activities at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. This action has the potential to affect the Bureau of Reclamation's ability to award the Icicle Creek Restoration Project Phase II contract. Reclamation is working with the FWS to address issues so that this contract may proceed on schedule. Reclamation will not ask contractors to submit proposals unless we are assured that the legal challenges have been alleviated. However, Reclamation will proceed to hold a site visit for potential offerors as instructed in Section L of the solicitation. Contractors are cautioned not to incur costs in preparation of offers/proposals until notified by the Contracting Officer.
