56--3/4" class 2 base rock, 1-1/2" drain rock, 12" rip rap rock and 6" rip rap rock delivered to Point Reyes National Seashore

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of road-base rock, a commercial item, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. Quotations are being requested via this notice only. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/Request for Quotations (RFQ) number is Q853608T002. The acquisition is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 212319 and the size standard is 500 employees or less. This acquisition is to furnish approximately 1230 tons of 3/4 inch class 2 base rock delivered (67% to location A and 33% to location B); 65 tons of 1-1/2 inch drain rock delivered (69% to location A and 31% to location B); 120 tons of 12 inch Rip Rap rock delivered (8% to location A and 92% to location B); 45 tons 6" Rip Rap rock delivered (100% to location B). Delivery shall be FOB Destination, staggered over a period between June 30, 2008 and August 1, 2008. DELIVERY LOCATION A is the Road and Trails yard located at Park Headquarters at 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA; DELIVERY LOCATION B is the Estero Trailhead area located approximately 10 miles past the Park Headquarters (via Sir Francis Drake Blvd.). Deliveries can be made between 6:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday. Interested parties should visit the sites and be aware of staging, transfering, turn-around and passing space limitations. Interested parties shall submit a quotation based on a unit price. The Government reserves the right to adjust the total tonnage ordered based on availability of funding at the time of award. A breakdown of quantity discounts shall be provided with the quotation, if applicable.
