VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with BD Biosciences, Inc. They are located at 10975 Torreyana Road San Diego, CA 92121. BD Biosciences Inc shall provide: The BD FACSAria Fusion (656700-23) is an 11-color flow cytometer and cell sorter with 4 solid-state lasers in an enclosed system, that is further enclosed within a Class II Type A2 Biosafety Cabinet, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design; not be able to accurately address request for Information (RFI s); or accurately maintain this equipment, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as a sound product. The anticipated period of performance is 04/01/2019 to 03/31/2024, with four, one-year option periods, with service to be provided at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, Research Service, building 21, Philadelphia, PA. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811219. The size standard is $20.5 million.
