The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Stryker Corporation, 4100 E. Milham Ave., Portage, MI 49002 for providing preventive maintenance, repair, and software upgrade services for Neptune surgical waste management equipment. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Fayetteville, Arkansas has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, software, facilities, transportation and supervision necessary to complete all work associated with performing preventive maintenance, inspection and repair services, and software upgrades on Neptune medical waste management equipment. Based on market research, it has been determined Stryker Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing all the required preventive maintenance, repair, and software upgrade services. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
