The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northport VA Medical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Agilent Technologies, Inc. for the CrossLab Bronze Government and PM service package which includes, onsite repairs, preventative maintenance, parts, and labor for the mass spectrometer. Agilent s scientific instruments are electronically sophisticated and chemically sensitive. Because of their unique technical nature, repair, maintenance and calibration services must be performed by Agilent Certified Service Engineers or else the warranty will be voided. Agilent is the only company for providing ISO9000-certified factory authorized support service, Agilent is the only company for proprietary factory recommended upgrades and service notes, Agilent is the only company for factory authorized escalation to resolve difficult service problems, Agilent is the only company for replacing instrumentation under Agilent s Service Guarantee, Agilent is the only company for Remote Advisor/Diagnostics. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, January 24th, 12:00, EST.
