J--Service Contract Elekta Brachytherapy OnCentra Seed Implant System for Stratton Albany VA Medical Center

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Elekta Inc., 400 Perimeter Center Terrace, Suite 50, Atlanta, GA 30346. The period of performance for contract award will be from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2019. This requirement is to provide annual hardware maintenance and support service for an Elekta brachytherapy system located at Stratton Albany VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208-3410. The service maintenance plan will include full customer telephone support, emergency visits, parts coverage, software updates and upgrades to licensed software and hardware maintenance. Covered equipment includes: Manufacturer Model EE# Serial # Elekta Real-time prostate solution 224630 70108 Elekta Onco Select Table Mount Stepper D32151 Elekta, Inc. is the only known provider since the software is proprietary and the software upgrades and maintenance can only be provided by Elekta as well as the support services for Elekta Brachytherapy OnCentra Seed Implant system. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by June 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to [email protected].
