The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, AZ 85723 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract (base plus four options) with Rees Scientific Corporation, 1007 Whitehead Road Ext Ste 1, Trenton, New Jersey 08638 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the purchase of annual Calibration of the following: two (2) Air Velocity Sensors using NIST traceable equipment, five (5) CO2 Sensors using NIST traceable instruments, seven (7) Differential pressure sensors using NIST traceable manometer and yearly onsite service plan with 24/7 technical support. The contractor will be required to provide service under the normal business hours and must be certified by Rees Scientific Corporation to provide service/maintenance on Rees Scientific Corporation manufactured equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811219, small business size standard of $7.0. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contracting Officer no later than 3:00 PM local, April 2, 2010. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. [email protected]. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Rees Scientific Corporation.
