A--Study: Comparison of Interface Kinematics of 2 Transhumeral Prosthetic socket Designs using X-ray Reconstruction of Moving Morphology (XROMM)

Notice of Contract Action. This is not a solicitation of offers. The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates entering into a sole source acquisition for the services described in this notice. The proposed contractor is Rhode Island Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903-4923 (DUNS: 075710996, CAGE: 1HTV4). The authority for this action is 38 USC 8123 and 41 USC 253(c)(5) as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or Required by Statute and VAAR 806.302-5(b)(1). The contractor shall provide services for the pilot research project "Comparison of Interface Kinematics of Two Transhumeral Prosthetic socket Designs Using X-Ray Reconstruction of Moving Morphology (XROMM)." The principal place of performance of this contract is Rhode Island Hospital, a Lifespan partner and the affiliated W. M. Keck Foundation XROMM Facility at Brown University. This acquisition is part of the VA's ongoing research efforts in upper limb prosthesis and is a part of VA Project Number A6780I. A base year and option year is under consideration. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS is 541712; the PSC is AN63. This notice is current through FAC 2005-51. A decision not to compete this requirement is based upon this notice, the responses hereto and the Justification and Approval to be posted to this web site.
