The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport LA intends to enter into a sole source contract with Advanced Sterilization Products, a Johnson & Johnson Company, to provide the maintenance for Sterrad® 100S Sterilization System Serial number 10101995623. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.301, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The NAICS 811219 applies with a size standard of $7.0M. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses to this notice by 2:00 p.m. (CST) September 15, 2010.
