S--Basic Cable Service to existing infrastructure at the WacoVA Medical Center

This is a Notice of Proposed Contract Action Synopsis. This proposed contract action is published to notify potential sources that the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Other than Full & Open Competition) to Time Warner Cable located at 215 Factory Drive, Waco, Texas, 76714. The award is to provide basic cable service to existing infrastructure at the Waco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located in Waco, Texas. The term of this contract will be for a base year period from 1 October 2007 through 30 September 2008 with four (1) one year options. The contractor must be licensed in accordance with the Waco Ordinance. No exceptions are allowed. The Contractor shall comply with all city ordinances in reference to acquiring a licensing agreement by the City of Waco to service the local area. The Applicable NAICS Code is 517510 and applicable size standard is $13.5 million. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before July 19, 2007 will be evaluated. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents will not be notified of the Government's determination. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this notice of proposed contract action.
