The scope of this contract is to design and conduct a longitudinal health study to assess the potential adverse health effects of environmental exposures to FEMA-provided THU among children who had resided in areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita (i.e., storm-affected areas). This study will be conducted in two phases: a Feasibility phase and an optional Full Study phase. CDC will use the results of the Feasibility phase to determine whether or not conducting the Full Study phase is practicable. The contractor shall develop a protocol that addresses both the Feasibility and Full Study phases. The contractor is responsible for the study design, data collection, and data management. CDC, with the assistance of the contractor, will be responsible for data analysis and the preparation and dissemination of study findings.
