The project includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a manually operated steel roller gate, reinforced concrete closure/storage monoliths, reinforced concrete tie-in floodwalls, and roadway/pedestrian trail reconfiguration and improvements. The project goal is to provide a closure across 1st Avenute (immediately adjacent to the tree of 5 season park and city hall in downtown Cedar Rapids).
