U -- Sole Source Award to The American Chemical Scociety

Operational Contracting, US Air Force Academy (USAFA), intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to The American Chemical Society, Chemical Abstracts Service Division utilizing simplified acquisition procedures for the following: USAFA DFIB has requested to procure the SciFinder Scholor (online database) from Chemical Abstract Service (CAS). This is a one-year subscription period of 01 Jan 2006 to 31 Dec 2006. USAFA has previously had 4, one - year contracts for this service. SciFinder Scholor is a one-source product from CAS. This on-line database service is not sold through subscription agents or any outside vendors. Cadets, faculty, DFC staff and librarians to support chemistry classroom research and courses will use SciFinder Scholor. NAICS Code: 519190. No other organization will satisfy agency requirements and time constraints. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. If no response is received by 08 July 2005, 2:00pm, MDT, specifying that comparable items are available that would be more advantageous to the Government, than obtaining the listed item through a sole source procurement with The American Chemical Society, a sole source award will be made.
