INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4) intends to sole source a contract for Preventive Maintenance of the Mass Spectrometer at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805. This sole source contract will be solicited and negotiated with Bruker Scientific, 40 Manning Road, Billerica, MA 01821 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirement. Bruker Scientific is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the equipment and is the sole provider of proprietary parts and service software support for the equipment. Bruker Scientific shall provide annual service for the Bruker - Maldi Mass Spectrometry Bioidentifier Systems, including phone support and repairs. All work is to be completed in accordance with statement of work and schedule. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is $22.0 Million. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, may identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 11/12/2020 by 1:00 PM EST. No solicitation will be made available. This is not a request for quotations. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer at [email protected]. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Bruker Scientific.
