NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE 36C24922Q0119 On behalf of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9 is issuing this Intent to Sole Source. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Merge Healthcare. The prospective contractor shall provide factory recommended full-service maintenance, repair and battery replacement contract on the Schneider Electric APC MGE Galaxy 3500, Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) system located in Bldg. 5, Room 115, IRM Data Center at the TVHS, Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro Tennessee, 37129. NCO 9 intends to award this requirement as a sole source purchase order under the provision of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 to Johnston Technologies. Based on market research, the required service can only be purchased from Johnston Technologies. According to the current manufacturer, Schneider Electric, the Galaxy 3500, Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) system is a Proprietary Source Product supported solely by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Johnston Technologies. Therefore, the sole source award to Johnston Technologies is in the best interest of the government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 335911 with the size standard of 1250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes. Any vendor who believes it can meet the requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by January 24, 2022 at 10:00 am EST.
