INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS USA INC. They are located at 2441 MICHELLE DRIVE, TUSTIN, CA 92780. CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS USA INC shall provide preventive maintenance and repairs for the Canon Ultrasound Transducer equipment. The Canon Ultrasound Transducer equipment is a proprietary design, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design; not be able to accurately address Request for Information (RFI s); or accurately maintain this equipment, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as an ultrasound product. The full-service maintenance of the Canon Ultrasound Transducer equipment will be performed at the Pittsburgh VA located at University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811219. The size standard is $22.0 million. Interested parties that can meet the capabilities and requirements, may identify their interest, and submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements, must submit information about their capabilities no later than twelve (12) NOON EST, 9/20/2022.
