Purchase Engineering Sevices to Apply Upgrades and Fixes to MonoHUD Systems used on the MH-60 Aircraft

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with BAE Systems Aerospace and Defense Group Inc, 7822 S. 46th Street, Phoenix AZ 85044-5313, for Engineering Services in support of the BAE MonoHUD Systems, utilized on the MH-60 helicopter, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. Services will include and may not be limited to applying upgrades and fixes to the MonoHUD System and will require the labor categories of Software and Senior Software Engineers, Engineering Management, and Program Control Analyst. The proposed action is for a service on a system for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide these services are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 28 July 2008.
