K--Procure improved engine drive shaft assembly for the H-60 B/F/H, MH-60S & HH-60J Aircraft

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award an order against Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0003, with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), Stratford, Connecticut, to procure an improved engine drive shaft assembly, gimbal, and flange/ coupling, which will be used to replace the current drive shaft and coupling assemblies. The purpose of this order is to procure the required kits to retrofit all USN in-service H-60 and USCG HH-60J aircraft. Two kits are required per aircraft. Approximately 750 kits will be procured under this order. Since SAC is the sole manufacturer of the aircraft, SAC is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, and proprietary technical data necessary to perform this effort. See Numbered Note 22.
