The Bureau of Land Management, Nevada State Office, is seeking a qualified vendor to furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials to drop dead tree tops and large dead trees Solicitation Number FAQ080077 will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) approximately June 2, 2008. DESCRIPTION/LOCATION OF WORK The Bureau of Land Management has a recreation site, located approximately 24 miles southon Highway 305 from the Battle Mountain District Offices. This site is known as Mill Creek Recreation Site.Contractor to supply labor, supervision and equipment necessary to perform the following:1. Cut down (drop) approximately 24 large decaying trees painted with a red X. Theseare located in the recreation site from the east fence to the west end of the parkingarea;2. Drop dead limbs larger than 3" diameter from existing trees. This includes cleaning out(trim and drop) all dead tops of trees;3. Cut ("drop") the dead trees down to a "stump", meaning within 2" from ground surface.4. Work areas shall not be open to public visitors during contractor operations for safetyand public protection.5. BLM will provide services to cut limbs and trunks down to size, and provide clean-up ofthe areas. Complete specifications and requirements will be included in the solicitation package.
