F -- Timber Presale Services, Republic Ranger District, Colville National Forest

DESC: The Colville National Forest requires timber presale services on the Republic Ranger District. The services will be located in Ferry County, Washington. The current unit identified for this contract is Trout Timber Presale. The task order contract is intended to provide the Government with flexibility to order timber sale preparation services for this area as the need arises and funding is available. There will be one award from this solicitation. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, tools and transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. Services will include, but not limited to: GPS traversing, hand traversing, tree marking, painting proposed cutting unit boundaries, and performing cruises to determine tree volumes and tree quality. The contract period of performance will be date of award through November 30, 2003, with task orders being placed when services are needed and funding is available. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotations and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. The NAICS code is 115310 and size standard is $6 million. The project is 100 percent small business set-aside. Estimated issue date is May 28, 2003, with quotations estimated to be due June 18, 2003.
