B -- 2002 Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Transportation USe and Availability Supplemental Survey

Revised Description: (UPPERCASE indicates changes) The Department of Transportation's TASC Acquisition Services plans to award a non-competitive contract to Mediamark Research, Inc./NOP World of New York, NY on behalf of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The purpose of the contract is to collect data from non-telephone households to supplement ongoing data collection projects and conduct the "2002 Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Transportation Use and Availability Supplement Survey." BTS conducted a market survey and determined that Mediamark is the only known source with A non-telephone household SAMPLE, AND will allow BTS access TO THE SAMPLE FOR CONDUCTING THIS SURVEY. BTS IS REQUIRING THAT THE SAMPLE OF NON-TELEPHONE HOUSEHOLDS BE CREATED USING A RANDOM, PROBABILITY METHOD OF SAMPLE DESIGN down to the final unit of analysis (HOUSEHOLD AND THEN PERSON), AND THAT the sample is not more than 2 years old.
