The following questions were asked, answers are provided: 1) What type of service is in place today? Local Cable Company, DirecTV, Dish Network Comcast is the current provider 2) Are all the buildings listed interconnected and signal fed from one central location? Comcast's infrastructure is direct buried, meaning there is no central hub amplifying the signal to the base. The signal comes in from off-base by Comcast, and branches out to all of the facilities underground. Each TV is equipped with a small digital converter for programming. 3) Very little information is given on channel selection-which is a huge factor in pricing. Are you wanting sports channels such as ESPN,ESPN2 and or any premium movie channels such as HBO, Showtime, etc.? As mentioned in the SOW, paragraph 2.1. we require local content from Salisbury MD (WBOC & WMDT) and Philadelphia, PA (KYW-TV, WPVI-TV, WCAU, & WTXF-TV), local and national news, weather, and current events (and a variety of music channels for the fitness center). We require only those channels that provide mission situational awareness; any channel designed for solicitation or entertainment is not necessary.
