This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MACDILL AFB FL, intends to award a sole source requirement for renewal of the subscription of United Press International (UPI) wire services, for period of performance from one year on date of award. The sole source and service provider, UPI, is an on-line service that enables USCENTCOM the required access to obtain the detailed coverage of events in the USCENTCOM Area of Interest and Area of Responsibility for unlimited amount of users. No other wire service provides unlimited access to reporting on world events without license limitations, as opposed to practices of other popular wire services. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. DO NOT SUBMIT A PROPOSAL AT THIS TIME.
