The 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a sole source contract to Random House Inc., for the following books: 0001 – Age of Sacred Terror: Radical Islam’s War Against America, ISBN 0812969847 for 3060 copies; 0002 –American Generalship: Character is Everything: The Art of Command, ISBN 0891417702 for 1300 copies; 0003 – Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror, ISBN 0812967852 for 1000 copies; 0004 – Of Paradise and Power: American and Europe in the New World Order, ISBN 1400034183 for 2900 copies; 0005 – Supreme Command: Soldiers, Statesmen, Leadership in Wartime, ISBN 1400034043 for 1200 copies; 0006 – Winged Victory: The Army Air Force in World War II, ISBN 0375750479 for 1200 copies. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified publications and quantities, they must respond to this notice before 1500hrs (Central Time) on 4 May 2004.
