The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to University of North Carolina Memorial Hospitals, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC. The Federal Correctional Complex has a need for healthcare services that UNC Memorial Hospital can provide that can not be provided under the current comprehensive medical contract. This is not a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
