This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; price proposal s are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912P6-07-Q-0029 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code for this requirement is 212313, with a size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror who submits t he lowest aggregate price. PROCUREMENT: The Government seeks to acquire 5,000 Tons of Type A stone. The Contractor will be responsible to supply, deliver, unload, and temporary piling of granite, quartzite, gabbro, diabase, basalt, or granodiorite stone materials. The stone used for this contract is armor stone (Type A-Stone), and each piece ranges betw een 8-15 Tons in size. The Contractor shall deliver the stone by marine or land transportation to the delivery point, which will be the LRC (Chicago District) Stone Dock site, unload them, and place the blocks onsite as directed. The LRC Stone Dock is lo cated on the north side of the mouth of the Calumet River, in Chicago, IL. If marine delivery is used, the Contractor will be required to move the unloaded stone landward from the dock face as far as 250 feet, and place it in one or more piles. Special m arine and/or land-based equipment maybe required for unloading the stone from a marine vessel, and moving it from the dock face landward within the stone dock property.
