NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Indian Education intends to award sole source firm fixed price purchase order to American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC), under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Soliciting from a single source. AIHEC is a unique¿and uniquely American Indian¿organization. It was founded in 1973 by the presidents of the nation's first six Tribal Colleges, as an informal collaboration among member colleges. Today, AIHEC represents 37 Tribal Colleges and Universities in the United States; and our member institutions serve over 27,000 students from more than 250 tribal nations. AIHEC serves the mutual needs of its members by: fostering the development and maintenance of the highest standards of quality education for American Indians and Alaska Natives by improving accessibility of education programs. The membership dues for AIHEC on behalf of Haskell Indian Nations University. These fees are for the membership of the University, athletic fee and a student congress fee. The anticipated period of performance will be from October 2021 ¿ September 2022, as approved by the AIHEC Board of Directors. The total anticipated cost is $28,234.00 The period of performance will be for a year, delivery date September 20, 2022. No solicitation is available, and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 813990. If a firm believes that BIE should not pursue this procurement, it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by 5pm CST on October 27, 2021.
