--Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to American Burn Association, non profit organization

The Center for Health Care Contracting, 2107 17th street, bldg 4197, Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a sole contract to the American Burn Association, 625 N. Michigan Ave, Suite 2550, Chicago, IL, 60611-3174. The requirement is for Advanced Burn Life Support Instructor Text Books, and Instructor Fees for the Department of Defense and Department of the Army to support courses provided through the Defense Medical Readines Training Institute that are use to enable Military Physicians, DoD civili ans and Medical Specialist to recieve certifications and continuing education credits. A one year contract is anticipated with the period of performance being from 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. The authority to make a sole source contract is 1 0 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award, and not a request for quotes or a solicitation of offers.
