Notice of Intent to Sole Source - American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Membership for 2011 Solicitation Number: VA-701-11-RQ-0017 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Program Contract Activity - Central intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), 4915 St. Elmo Avenue, Suite 401, Bethesda, MD 20814 for the purchase of affiliate membership to this professional organization. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
