Background. Pathway to Excellence guides the positive transformation of practice environments in multiple settings to build global community health care organizations committed to nursing workplace excellence. Erie VA Medical Center s Community Living Center CLC Nursing Service, Erie PA, is seeking a Base plus One Option Year contract for American Nursing Credentialing Center s (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence Program designation. 3. Scope. ANCC s Pathway to Excellence Program office staff manages and coordinates all aspects of the application and appraisal process. Program designation and membership to be provided for at least a four-year period after completion of services and acceptance into the Pathway to Excellence designation program. The following are required functional capabilities and work to be performed across the CLC at the Erie VA Medical Center: Phase 1 Pathway Standards Document Submission and Review Documents reviewed by team of appraisers Phase 2 Access to Database: Upload required documents for review Upon receipt of document review payment, review will begin Notification of 1st level review 6-8 weeks of the document submission date Notification of 2nd level review will take an additional 4-8 weeks Phase 3 Pathway to Excellence Nursing Survey The Pathway to Excellence Program office staff will provide written confirmation of Pathway nursing survey dates and additional instructions. Nursing staff will access the survey through a link provided to the organization by the Pathway to Excellence Program office. The link will be accessible only through the confirmed survey dates. Pathway to Excellence Program office will allow access to weekly progress reports in the Pathway portal for the first three weeks of the survey. After the designation decision, final Pathway nursing survey summary report will be provided. 4. Place of Performance. Work for the Pathway to Excellence Program will be performed for and within the CLC located at the Erie VA Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie PA. Principal performance will take place, specifically on the Alpha and Beta residential units of the CLC. There are no contractor travel requirements. 5. Period of Performance. Period of performance will be for one year beginning on the effective date of contract award.
