U001--Notice of Intent to Sole Source ASHP Pharmacy Residency Accreditation Services VISN 4

This requirement is for the procurement of Accreditation services for VA Pharmacy Residency Programs within VISN 4 in accordance with VHA Handbook 1108.09(2), which requires that all pharmacy residency programs be accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). NCO 4 intends to award a 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract on a sole source basis to ASHP. The quantities of pharmacy residents that will require accreditation over the lifespan of the proposed contract is indefinite. The contract effective date is expected to be January 2023. Per VHA Handbook 1108.09(2), ASHP is a sole source for accreditation and performs site visits for accreditation. There are accredidataion fees for these services and these fees are the responsibility of the VA medical facility Director . ASHP is the sole accrediting body for pharmacy residency programs in the United States and accreditation by ASHP is required by VA policy. No other sources of service can be utilized or considered for this requirement.
