USDA Sole Source Notification for Annual Membership in the Hawaii Conservation Alliance

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services State Office (WS) in Honolulu, HI, intends to issue a sole source, 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for annual membership fees with the University of Hawaii's Hawai`i Conservation Alliance located in Honolulu, HI under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). A major goal of the Hawai`i Conservation Alliance is to facilitate and coordinate the effective conservation of Hawaii's native ecosystems in terrestrial, aquatic, and marine realms. Membership includes 26 different private, state, and federal agencies/entities. No other Hawaii-based organization has been found to offer the necessary connections with all the major entities involved with the conservation of Hawaii's native ecosystems. The USDA APHIS membership will help the WS State Office carry out its mission of invasive species predator control to protect Hawaiian agriculture and other at-risk native species. The BPA period of performance will be for 5 years from the date of award with an anticipated value of $9,000 per year, NTE $45,000 total. This notice is for informational purposes only.
