THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS Notice of Intent to Sole Source a short term contract to the IN AND OUT VALET COMPANY for a period of performance from April 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013. The contract will be made to the incumbent contractor for continuation of services currently ongoing at the James A. Haley, Veterans Medical Center, located in Tampa, Florida: Part of the Veterans Integrated Systems Network (VISN 08). It is the intent of the VA to award a sole-source, firm-fixed priced contract to the In and Out Valet Company using the authority outlined in VAAR 819.7007 Sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. This contract will provide a valet parking service for the disabled veterans being treated at the James A. Haley, VAMC. This sole source contract will be for a period of nine (9) months, which will allow the VA sufficient time to properly prepare a new competitive solicitation which will include a base year and up to four option years. This action is necessary as these services are vital to patient safety and health, and must be continued without interruption while a new solicitation/contract is being prepared. Period of Performance: 1 April, 2013 through 31 December, 2013, place of performance, James A. Haley, VAMC, Tampa, Florida. NAICS 812930 with a size standard of $35.5/Mil. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED. A determination by the Government not to compete these proposed contracts based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
