Location is at Carlisle Barracks, PA, Carlisle Barracks Garrsion Commandant's Quarters Dining Room 2.1 The purpose of this contract is to have the contractor perform all steps necessary to execute restoration/refurbishing of the below listed items. Contractor will RESTORE: To return to pre-damage condition by the removal of damaging residues or odor; to remedy damage or distress while preserving the original components and appearance to the fullest possible degree. Period of Performance 1 September 2020 to 31 December 2020. Description of Furniture EA Dining room chairs to be restored and refinished on a rotating basis. 20 2.2. The contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, supervision, materials, and transportation necessary in performance of this effort. 3.0 SERVICES - CONTRACTOR 3.1 Contractor must be property trained and qualified to perform required work. 3.2 The Contractor shall provide for the specialized tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the restorations. 3.3 The work shall consist of repairs/restoration of items identified in paragraph 2.1 3.4 The government reserves the right to inspect and verify progress of the restorations at any time. 3.5 The quality of restoration must meet or exceed generally acceptable standards for restoration of furnishings. An acceptance inspection shall be performed on all pieces of furniture before returning them back to the home. The inspection shall be recorded on a contractor provided form and a copy provided to the Contracting Officer Representative. This inspection shows the overall condition of the each piece of furniture. The government has the right to reject any piece not meeting the following acceptance criteria. Items will be determined note acceptable if they have a rough surface; cloudy finish; splintered edges; scratches, dents or dust specks; dull spots indicating missed areas or not enough finish coats; or teardrops around the edges and on vertical surfaces. Discrepancies must be corrected before items is returned to the home. 3.6 The contractor will deliver restored furnishings within the time frame agreed to in this contract. 3.7 Failure to meet the requirements of this contract may result in a monetary penalty.
