This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source the following requirement The Washington D.C Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking to repair and replace two (2) Steam Control Valves that support exchanger systems temperature controls and (7) moisture traps located at Building 6, by Spirax Sarco, Inc. Scope for Control Valve Replacement as follows The Contractor shall replace components that have failed. 2-1/2" L Series Cast Iron Control Valve (LEA33PTSUSS.2 CV 42) (2/3 Valve), ANSI 125 Flanged Standard Bonnet & Trim Equal Percentage Flow Characteristic 431 Stainless Steel Head & Seat, Un-Balanced Cv 42 (Original valve Cv is 48) PTFE Chevrons, Pneumatic PN9336E (15-30) Actuator SP7 Positioner with Nylon Tubing (SP7-10-1010150001) MPC2A Air Filter with Gauge Block and 0-145 psi Gauges 1-1/2" L Series Cast Iron Control Valve (LEA33PTSUSS.2 CV 29) (1/3 Valve) ANSI 125 Flanged Standard Bonnet & Trim Equal Percentage Flow Characteristic 431 Stainless Steel Head & Seat, Un-Balanced Cv 29 (Original valve Cv is 30) PTFE Chevrons, Pneumatic PN9336E (15-30) Actuator SP7 Positioner with Nylon Tubing (SP7-10-1010150001) MPC2A Air Filter with Gauge Block and 0-145 psi Gauges The Contractor shall also perform: (7) 1/2" NPT CA14 Liquid Drain Trap, Ductile Iron, PMO 203 PSIG (7) 1/2" NPT S1 Separator, Ductile Iron Demo, and remove and dispose of existing compromised components. Systems start up and tuning to check for proper performance Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Information received in response to this Notice will be considered solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
