This notice is being published in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1. The Contracting Office for the 167 AW, West Virginia Air National Guard, intends to issue a sole-source, firm fixed price purchase order to Al's Auto Service and Body Shop for the repair of a 2003 Chevy G20 4X2 Express Cargo Four Door Van. Al's Auto Service and Body Shop is located in Martinsburg, WV and the WV Air National Guard is also located in Martinsburg, WV. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all reponses received by Monday, 10 September 2012 at 10:00 A.M. EST. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to responnd to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement.
