News Concerning MORU Concession Operations

In response to recent inquires about concession operations at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, the National Park Service has issued three (3) public documents related to the two existing Memorial concession contracts, MORU001-05 and MORU002-96. The three documents include the existing concession contracts CC-MORU00-05 and CC-MORU002-96 and a redacted version of a previously released condition assessment completed in 2012 for the parking structure. These documents are available for viewing and downloading at http://concessions.nps.gov/. The National Park Service depends on its concessioners to meet the needs of over two million guests annually to the Memorial. The Memorial is drawing larger crowds in 2015. The Carver Café,with a maximum seating capacity of 300, offers visitors a scatter style fast casual dining experience. The parking facility has 1,172-spaces available to provide visitors a safe convient location to park. Visitors enjoy shopping for souvenirs in the spacious 13,000 s.f. retail space.
