The concession opportunity is for recreation facilities on the Hiawatha National Forest and includes 11 campgrounds and day use sites. The Permit Area is for 30 facilities: eleven campgrounds, ten day-use sites, one historic site, and eight boat launches on the Munising and Rapid River/Manistique Ranger Districts. The average annual revenue of the campgrounds was nearly $495,656 between 2019-2021. This package includes day-use and boat launch sites not previously offered for concession operations. A virtual question and answer session will be available for all potential applicants on April 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
