Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Soldier Hollow

The Vermont Army National Guard intends to award a sole-source contract for cross-country skiing facility rental to Soldier Hollow Nordic Center of Midway, Utah. The National Guard Bureau Sports Biathlon program is scheduled to conduct the championship Biathlon race from February 28-March 6, 2020. The CNGB Biathlon program follows the International Biathlon Union (IBU) rules and regulations and requires a venue that can accomodate IBU level races. The facility must provide a minimum of 30 firing points, provide full course snow-making, and be below 6,500 feet elevation. Further, the race draws competitors from across the United States, so it must be within 50 miles of a military facility with available barracks capability in order to provide affordable accomodations. Finally, the venue must be able to accomodate 130 participants.
