T--Notice of Intent for Sole Source, Fabrication of Luigi Del Bianco plaque at MORU

The National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office, intends to issue a Sole Source award to Michael Keropian Sculpture, LLC, Carmel, NY, for the fabrication of a bronze Luigi Del Bianco plaque for Mount Rushmore National Monument. The historical importance of the chief carver of the monument will be commemorated in this bronze plaque and made part of the museum exhibit. The bronze plaque will have the sculptures likeness of the chief carver. Along with that will be a likeness of Mount Rushmore, the carvers name, carver’s life span, carver’s title, and a quote. The size of the plaque will be 31 inches by 24 inches. From previous private work, the sculpture produced and possesses the cast that is needed to make this bronze of Luigi Del Bianco. The cast is the sculpture’s own work. The National Park Service intends to procure this plaque from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The procurement will utilize simplified acquisition procedures and will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 711510 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7.5 million. This is a Sole Source Notice and not a request for quotations. No solicitation document is available with this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed order based on responses to this notice will be made at the discretion of the Government. Information received from firms as a result of this notice will be considered for support of the Government’s determination to support a non-competitive strategy.
