Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with the Cleveland Indians under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Part 6 using other than full and open competition based on Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A)&(B), and FAR Part 15, Contractor Negotiation,. The contract is for display space in the center of influence areas with the Cleveland Indians for sponsorship during the remaining 2012 MLB season. Space requested will allow recruiters to set up a display in a prime location outside the stadium for assets along the highest pedestrian traffic area leading to Progressive Field Park. This purchase will also include six (6) Kiosk games on the concourse; one (1) full-page four color ad in Batter-up! magazine during the month of September; one (1) Delayed Enlistment Program swear-in on field pre-game; and twenty-five (25) tickets to be used for deppers. The applicable NAICS code is 711211. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
