U--VRE Roanoke - Special Employer Incentive (SEI) Contract - Richmond ARC - 1 Veteran

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration, Southern Area Contracting Team - Roanoke intents to solicit, negotiate and award a contract on a Sole Source basis to Richmond Area Association for Retarded Citizens. The Special Employment Incentive (SEI) program is authorized under Public Law 112-56, VOW to Hire Heroes Act under the Chapter 31 - Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program. Richmond Area Association For Retarded Citizens will provide on-the job instruction and the necessary books, supplies and equipment for one VR&E Veteran participant from August 4, 2014 - February 03, 2015. The Department of Veterans Affairs will compensate the Employer for the on-the-job training. Employer shall be entitled to fifty percent (50%) of the total compensation paid to the Veteran for the first six (6) months of the Veteran's employment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
