G--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Modification for Community Based Residential Treatment Services

Due to an increase in census, the Department of Veterans Affairs, intends to issue a modification to increase the scope of contract, VA256-16-P-1610, with Harbor Houses of Jackson Inc., 5354 I55 S Frontage Rd, Jackson, MS 39272, in support of Urgent and Emergent Homeless Veteran Housing Services (Community Based Residential Treatment/Beds) with Support Services. The authority for the sole source shall be, on a sole-source basis using FAR 6.302-1 " Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Urgent and Emergent Homeless Veteran Housing Services (Community Based Residential Treatment/Beds) with Support Services for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (JVAMC) located at 1500 East Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, MS 39216. The services for this requirement shall be performed at the contractor's facility located within 25 Miles of JVAMC. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, materials, and equipment to provide services necessary to perform Community Based Residential Treatment/Beds with Support Services to eligible beneficiaries of JVAMC. This notice serves as notice of intent to award a modification under the current contract and is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is forthcoming. However, responsible sources that believe they can perform these services in their entirety must submit a written notification of interest and capability statement by 12:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), Monday, June 4, 2018 which will be considered by the agency. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. Capability statements shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist at [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any modification to the existing contact.
