The Department of Veterans Affairs, Stars & Stripes Healthcare Network (VISN 4) intends to award a sole source contract to Mednet Healthcare Technologies, Inc, 275 Phillips Blvd, Ewing, NJ 08618 for services to provide capability to receive information from a specific implantable loop recorder with 24/7 coverage and immediate relay of information by automated transmission to a monitoring center. The implantable loop recorder is capable of instantaneously recording and automatically transmitting information to the monitoring center. The period of performance will be 1 June 2008 through 30 November 2008 with four one year option periods. The total period of performance to include all options will be 1 June 2008 to 30 November 2012. The requirement is for the Contractor to provide these services at the Contractor's facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 621999 with a small business size standard of 9.0 million dollars. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be issued as a result of this synopsis. This announcement is submitted for information purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
